Safety & Privacy
Your conversations are yours. Here's how privacy works, how to spot a real player, and how to report or block anything that crosses a line.
The essentials
Your privacy
Are my chats private? Can a character's creator read them?
Yes, your private chats stay private — the creator of a character cannot read your conversation history. A character made by another player is an AI agent, not a real person, so chatting with it never exposes your messages to whoever built it. For how your data is handled overall, see our Privacy Policy.
Report non-consensual intimate images
If an intimate image or video of you has been shared on Enjoy: AI Town without your consent, ask us to remove it — this includes AI-generated images. You can file if you are the person depicted, or are authorised to act for them.
Send us:
- Where it is — the link, character name, and anything else that helps us find it
- A statement that you did not consent
- Your name and contact details
- Your signature
- The subject line NCII Takedown Request
We remove valid requests as soon as possible, and make reasonable efforts to remove identical copies — you don't need to find duplicates yourself. Send your request to support@enjoy.ai.
Real players vs. AI characters
How can I tell if I'm talking to a real person or an AI?
Real players are marked with a blue DNA icon (above their avatar or next to their name), and you'll see a short calling screen before the chat starts. AI characters have no DNA icon — you enter the chat right away.
What happens if a real player is offline?
If a real player is offline, you'll chat with their Auto Pilot, and they get a summary when they return. Prefer to keep things AI-only? You can turn off Real-Player Social anytime to chat only with AI characters.

What is your crisis protocol?
Characters here are AI. They are not people and cannot help in a crisis.
We screen messages for signs of suicidal ideation or self-harm. Anything flagged is checked against the recent conversation before we act.
When detected, we show a support card carrying the numbers above and a reminder that you are talking to an AI, not a person. It does not interrupt or end your conversation.
We log that an event occurred and its category. From July 2027 we report annual counts to the California Office of Suicide Prevention — counts only, no personal information.
No character here is a therapist or medical professional. Detection is imperfect. Please contact the services above rather than relying on us to notice.
Our system should not produce content that encourages, describes methods of, or romanticises suicide or self-harm. If you get a bad response, report it so we can improve: support@enjoy.ai.
Reporting & blocking
How do I report inappropriate content?
Enjoy: AI Town doesn't allow inappropriate content, including nudity, exposed private parts, or any sexual content involving minors. We have content moderation in place, but if something slips through, please report it so the team can review and act — contact support to send it in. Full rules are in our Terms of Service.
How do I report a real player who breaks the community rules?
If a real player is harassing you, behaving inappropriately, or making you uncomfortable, report them directly: go to that player's profile (album) page, tap the three dots (top-right), then tap Report. The team reviews reports and takes appropriate action. You can also reach out to support if you prefer.
Can I block or step away from someone?
Yes. You can ghost a real player anytime so they can no longer reach you, or ghost an AI character to clear that conversation and reset the relationship to the beginning. See Interact for more on how ghosting works.
Known limitations
Why can't I see my ex's posts in the Bazaar?
There's a current system limitation: if two users have ever broken up and erased their memories of each other, they won't see each other's Bazaar posts — even after becoming friends again. This is a known limitation on the improvement list. Nothing is wrong with your account.
