Community Etiquette

A few friendly suggestions to help you understand the culture of our community and avoid common misunderstandings.

A few good habits

Respect other creators Public characters are made by other players who put real time and creativity into them.
Inspiration is welcome Let others' work spark your ideas — just don't carbon-copy what a creator holds personal or central.
Be kind There's a real person on the other side of the screen. Lead with kindness and communicate openly.
Shape the culture Creators and players alike shape Enjoy. A little respect and consideration goes a long way.

Respect other creators' work

Public characters are created by other players who invest time and creativity into building them. Many creators stay actively involved — developing their characters' stories, relationships, personalities, venues, and worldbuilding over time. When a creator evolves one of their characters, other players receive an in-app notification.

Being inspired is welcome

One of the best parts of Enjoy is seeing people inspire one another. Characters, venues, stories, outfits, templates, and worldbuilding often spark new ideas — and inspiration helps the community grow.

There's a difference, though, between being inspired by someone's work and carbon-copying elements that a creator may consider personal or central to their creation. The latter is discouraged. If you're ever unsure, consider reaching out to the creator first.

Keep it friendly

Whenever possible, approach others with kindness, communicate openly, and remember there's another person on the other side of the screen.

Help keep Enjoy welcoming

Enjoy thrives on the creativity, passion, and contributions of its community. Whether you're creating characters, building venues, designing outfits, making templates, writing stories, or simply enjoying others' creations, we all help shape the culture of the platform. A little respect, communication, and consideration goes a long way.
